FAQ’s

Any person who has been admitted as a staff or a researcher and who has filled and submitted the Member’s Data Form (Form 01) shall be considered a member of the lab. However, student groups may from time to time be allowed into the laboratory for the purpose of demonstrations which will support what they had been taught in the classroom. They are not members of the lab.
By interview of personnel who have been selected. We put up adverts and shortlists for interviews.

iii. Interested individuals.
The lab will be open to everyone within the above category within and outside of University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
We will give them what they will be working on and we will fund them. Since we will be collaborating with others, depending on the type of sponsorship, they may work on their own concepts.
Through grants and sponsorships (including self-sponsorship). For self-sponsorship, the person decides on the area of study if he/she so wishes but must be within the areas of interest of the laboratory. The person must also abide by the tenets of the laboratory. They can use the facilities of the laboratory but the proceeds of the study especially publications must indicate the name of the laboratory.
i. When we have a grant or a job.
ii. When there is a space for research work.
The researcher/student disengages when the job is done or the grant is terminated. However, he/she may reapply to continue if a new job or grant is available and he/she so wishes to join.
The maximum the lab can accommodate at any given period of time is 20 persons. The bench work and study spaces can accommodate 10 people only. However, depending on the grants and jobs available, and necessity, the numbers may be exceeded. The nature of the research will also determine the number of persons admitted as members can set up experiments in the research area outside the lab building. Others may be members but work online from remote locations.
Yes. Students will be evaluated for their commitment and performance in the lab at the end of each session.
A student judged as performing below expectation will be asked not to continue with the lab. The space created thereof will be assigned to a new entrant.
As long as he/she has been evaluated and found committed, a student remains a member of the lab until graduation from the university.
