Isaac Onyemaechi Ugwu is a final-year Electrical Engineering student at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. His undergraduate trajectory has been shaped by selection into competitive technical programs, including the ALX Software Engineering Programme and the ReadyTensor.ai AI Engineering Program, and by sustained contributions to open-source engineering projects since 2024. As a budding researcher, Isaac's primary interest lies in AI-augmented engineering tools, systems that embed intelligence into the environments where engineers and developers already work, reducing the cognitive overhead of complex technical workflows. This interest drove him to build SwitchBoard, an AI-powered extension for the EasyEDA Pro PCB design suite. He also writes on applied machine learning, including technical work on adversarial ML and moving target defense. His paper, "Solar Energy-Based Bluetooth-Controlled Home Automation System," was accepted at the International Electronic & Computer Engineering Conference (IECEC 2026), reflecting a complementary interest in embedded systems for energy-constrained environments. Isaac continues to pursue research at the intersection of applied machine learning and engineering practice, particularly where AI can meaningfully extend the tools engineers use to design, build, and secure complex systems.
